FAQ's
1
Do I have to be an experienced painter to take part?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! We welcome all levels of painters - from those who have never picked up a paint brush, to those who haven't painted in a long time, and of course we welcome hobby painters as well. If you are nervous about your artistic skills, there is no need to be worried about this class! Kate & Emily are both very passionate about exploring the process of painting and the joy it sparks and we want you to experience this too.
2
Do I get to choose what I paint?
We have found that most people can get a bit overwhelmed with choice if we give a blank canvas and too many floral choices to start with! Because of this, we assign a different floral arrangement for each person before the class starts, so you don't have to worry about what scene to choose - we can just get started straight away! In saying this, if you feel strongly about what you want to paint, then we are more than happy to try our best to accommodate requests.
3
I would love to hear about where you are bringing Bloom next, when can I find out new location announcements?
All new Bloom location announcements will be released to our Instagram page! If you would like early access to bookings, then sign up to our mailing list, so you can get early access! You can sign up here.
4
Do you offer online classes?
As much as we would love to offer online classes for our international followers, at this stage we are focusing on building our in-person Bloom workshops to be the best that they can be! We both have our full time art practices to maintain on the side too, so at this stage we wouldn't be able to dedicate enough time to film and edit content for online classes. Never say never though!
5
Do all of your events cater for dietary requirements?
Absolutely! We want everyone to be able to enjoy our beautiful lunches - it is part of the experience! We cater to any dietary requirements: you can add them into the notes section of the checkout when you book or email us.
6
What is your cancellation policy?
Classes are fully refundable upon request up to 14 days prior to the date you have booked. This allows us to offer your place to another customer. Classes cancelled in the 14 days leading up to the event, are not refundable, unless we are able to fill your spot with someone on a waiting list - which we think is quite likely! - and in this case we are more than happy to refund you. If in the unlikely event a class needs to be cancelled due to host illness or other unexpected event, we will fully refund all participants. Please refer to our policies page for more information.
7
Can I choose which artist will teach me? Can I choose to work in oils or acrylics?
We both teach in our preferred mediums: Kate teaches oils and Emily teaches acrylics. We usually divide the group and take half each and automatically assign participants. However, if you have a burning desire to use a particular paint, then please email us after you book! Be rest assured: we are both very friendly and love teaching so we will make sure you are looked after regardless what half of the table you are on!
9
What do I need to bring to class?
Almost nothing! We provide all materials, food and drink (including, water, coffee, tea and wine). The only thing we recommend bringing is an apron (or wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on) and an open lid carboard box to take your painting home in, as it might not be dry by the time you leave.

I have a beautiful air-bnb, business or space, can I host a Bloom workshop?
We are always on the look out for beautiful, welcoming and unique spaces to host a Bloom workshop, so we would love to hear from you! Our approach is quite collaborative, so we take the time to chat to our potential hosts via email first and then if we decide that we will all be a good fit, we schedule a zoom call to finesse details and a date. There are a few requirements we need in terms of space, accessibility, access to water and bathrooms, catering coordination and waiting/ serving. You can read our host guide here for more information.
